Meagan Rafferty is a California native. Born and raised in the Bay Area, she had the amazing opportunity to ride from a young age in Woodside California. Growing up riding at Portola Farms gave opportunities for Meagan to show at a young age. Staring with local shows at the Woodside Horse Park quickly turned into multi-state adventures. Riding Hunter/Jumper and the Arabian Horse Breed circuit, she was hooked. She was lucky enough to get a chance at showing Regional and National levels after being privately sponsored from age fourteen until her senior year of high school. Because of that sponsorship she earned a top three USEF junior rider.

 

        Riding through college and a real estate license, Meagan decided riding was where her heart was at. She began working full time for her current trainer, Michelle Mahoney. Learning to start young horses, help work horses with behavioral issues and of course continue showing. Getting to know the in and outs sale horses and placing them in proper homes was also a great tool Meagan had the opportunity of learning.

 

          Deciding to move from the Santa Cruz Mountains was tough, but needing to expand her horse career and be closer to her family, Meagan moved home to Fair Oaks in 2010. Slowly building her business, developing riders for all levels of competition, and specializing in starting young sport horses looking for bright careers. Meagan believes in all-around horsemanship. Providing education for her riders in all aspects of horses to make them not just into riders but horsemen/horsewomen!
